This new cage system is a flat pack design, it is manufactured from marine grade 316 stainless steel. The difference with this new system is that it has been designed as a round tube. It will accept ALL of the AP Valves rebreather models. The beauty of the cage being round in design is that the wing is allowed to move back away from your body to give more clearance for the back mounted lungs. Yet you are still able to attach large cylinders or multiple cylinders/torch power packs (the cage comes with 2 no: Single Mounting Plates only, but will accept other quick release brackets or our specially modified Single Tank Adapter.

This cage will accept the wing and harness that you get with the AP Valves unit and it will accept our new rear mounted back plate for the back mounted lungs.

Should you require a new back plate for the Back Mounted Counterlungs,  there are two types available a Dome Version or a Top Slot version in either 2.5 mm or 5 mm thick 316 stainless steel. This back plate will replace the harness that you get with the unit. You need to use the pinch clips that are on the harness and use harness webbing on the bottom slots of the back plate. If you are going to use the back plate on a flat box, you do not need mounting blocks as these are only for the yellow box to give the back plate support so you do not crack the case.
